Ok now first of all that I post this as RPG-X2 feature here does not mean that vEF/ioEF/ioCow won't be supported anymore.

I just started moving the rpgxEF Sql implemetation to the game code side.
As a result of this Sql will be avaibile on RPG-X2 for vEF/ioEF/ioCow as well when it is released.

In addition to mysql I also work on an sqlite implementation which will allow server admins to choose between mysql and a mysql server and sqlite and its local database file.

Hello again. I know I already have an open thread on this, and I know I should learn to be patient, but I really want to get to mapping. Okay, so I have A TON of missing textures, but the main ones I'm worried about are my loads of missing common textures (like trigger, ladder, most other of those small ones with names on them that are different colours), and the problem is, I have creators block so to speak, and if I had those probably about 20 missing common textures I might be able to think of something else to put in my map to spice it up a little. Someone told me about a download-able game package, but when i clicked on the URL Firefox told me that the site was untrusted because of an invalid security certificate or something like that.

This is accessed by using 'Internet 3'
However not all people have this server listed. To list it. Use;
/sv_master3 "efmaster.kickchat.com"

Hope that helps :)

Hi, new to the forums (was forwarded here). Anyway, I'm mapping with GTKradiant 1.5 for EF1. I wish to create a pit of water which will eventually turn into an underwater tunnel. However, for some reason, I have few liquids...and no textures at all with the white shader border. In liquids I have "bubbles" and two "slime" textures. Is there a way i can create, or possibly download usable water?

Hey all. I just have been wondering if there is any interest out there to start a community map project where everyone from the community could take part.

If there is enough interest you'll all get full support from the modding side (meaning from me) maybe I'll also might do some mapping myself again.

There would be work for

mappers (of course)

texture designers

modelers

sound artists

scripters

The result of this project then might become a new official RPG-X map.

Hello everyone, how are we all going? :)

Full-time work and client-work aside, I arrived in Japan today to attend a 2 week study seminar on world-wide multiculturalism as a representative of my university.
Given some threads I saw here had everyone was speaking a different language, seems a bit relevant somehow. XD

Anyway, let me be frank here.

At the moment, I think I'm being WAY too nice of an admin around here.
When I get the occasional 'reported post' notice from a user disputing another user in a thread, I usually say to myself, 'Oh it's a one-off', or 'I'm sure they didn't mean it like that' as a sort of half-assed way to rationalize not chewing out or banning anyone.

But sadly, the number of reported posts is increasing, and it's now at the point where other admins are starting to message me to do something about it.

Now I really, REALLY don't want to have to ban anyone, but when it gets to a point where there a select few who enjoy epic trolling, where it's genuinely pissing other people off, I'm seriously going to have to step in here. :(

I'm not going to name anyone here, but I'm sure you know who you are. >:)

I'm extremely happy that you guys love hanging out here and make a pretty awesome amount of content on our forums, but please remember to keep it positive and on topic. If you guys really want to make epic troll threads or the likes, I'm more than happy to make a generic spam section you can go vent on (It wouldn't count on your post count tho. :P )

The UberGames forum is due for an overhaul. It's using a crappy Web 1.0 theme, a lot of the forums here can probably be merged, and it needs to be upgraded to vB 4 quickly. I only wish I had more time to do it sooner.

Have a nice week everyone. Stay out of trouble.
