Well Lee's been the cynic for a long time... and so he shall continue... but damn it, this is the ONLY game EVER I have had more fun watching the uninstall screen than the actual game.

I've looked everywhere for what DAC stands for. I guess I've found it.

I've not played but it looks like tedium.

And I played the demo because I didn't notice it had one and I must say it has amazing dogfighting A.I., better than FreeSpace's! They have so much precision and determination when trying to suicide bomb into the tiny mutant Oberth-class looking thing with which I was owning everyone and their dog.

DAC stands for "Deathmatch, Assualt" and something else I can't remember.

If theres a free demo about, I'm well up for playing it.

The only place I have found a demo available has been; Steam, X-Box Live or the Playstation Network store... It seems to be one of those 'one of a kind' cross-platform arcade releases that come out every so often

It was not what I really wanted. But it is a decent game, and you could tell they put a lot of effort into it, even though it is a simple arcade

DAC = Deathmatch, Assault and Conquest.

The game is quite bad imo, although i've only played the XBLA trial version, it suffers from a lack of ships and no local multiplayer. There is a free add-on however that adds 2 new ship types making it 4 in total.

Its not that bad of game. I picked it up for $10 at Walmart. The only thing I didn't like was Steam! You have to have the game FULLY UP TO-DATE to play the game.
But, besides that, I think its a pretty good game. It does remind me of Star Trek: Encounters. The graphics are great on PC. The 3-Dness of it makes it something different. I especially like that you can use a XBOX 360 controller with it. That makes it so much easier and better.

Its a different type of 3D. The game its self isn't, but the background scenery is.

However, all you do is fly around and shoot ships whose AI simply tells them to ram into you.

They don't ram me. Their aim though is terrible, but they can do damage.

They didn't to me. I never play on easy, so if there was any difficulty setting, I probably chose hard and progressed about twenty minutes without taking any damage in this Oberth-class-looking thing.
