Well, it is EA.

Anyone who bought the game new gets the Cerberus network content for free. If you bought the game used, why would EA give you content for free? They get no money from used game sales. I think giving people who buy the game new free stuff, is a perfectly legitimate way to encourage new game sales.

Would you rather pay £35 for an expansion containing ten hours worth of content, only three hours of which you will actually play. Or would you rather pay £4.95 for those three hours on their own?

What I didn't mention there, is that the core development team and the guys working on the DLC are completely different people. The DLC will never have been near the core game until it was finished and ready for release.

I don't think they deserve to make more money when I give my game to someone.
The amount of effort and money they put in creating those two discs (two discs per one game) doesn't change if I give it to someone else. Why should they get $15 more dollars off of it?

Just be happy for those 2 disks you only had to pay the same as anyother single disk game.

If you don't think they deserve money when you give the game to someone else, than don't buy the content . The extra content does not in anyway prevent you from giving your game to someone else. However, they make no money when you give the game to someone else. It costs them money to make the game, and it costs them money to make the extra content. So the extra content is for paying customers, whether that be through buying the game new, or buying the content. Bioware and EA spent money and time making the game and content. They deserve to be paid for their investment and labour.

Then they should charge per DLC.
WE haven't seen this yet, but they ARE going to start charing for DLC offered on the Cerberus Network. The Kusami DLC that's coming out on April 6th will be the first of many non-free DLCs.

But again, that is extra content that they have put money and labour into producing. They have already offered a substantial quantity of free extra content to players who bought the game new. So why shouldn't they get paid for new content that they spend time and money making?

It's been my experience that once you have a job and make money, you're not as concerned about stuff like this.

Actually, I just heard that the paid DLC will be offered separate from the Cerberus network.
I'm looking forward to two DLC packs within the next two weeks.

Anyone looked at the first 'new appearance' pack yet? Personally, I'm not fond of what they're offering within it. I might have downloaded it if it had been a part of the Cerberus Network, but as is, I think it's a waste of MS Points.

I've been considering playing through again as a renegade and taking the respective choice given for it during that sequence of events. I'm wondering if having done it before anyway, would've prevented that happening to him.

I haven't had the chance to play Mass Effect 2 yet
But I loved the first one, and I will get it soon.
