We went to the planet and docked and they were like OMG WERE JERKS. And we were like "We want u to join teh Federation. o ya and you have uber 1337 dilithium deposits" and then the ambassador guy came aboard and he's like "I have a daughter, lol" except he didn't say lol because he was a jerk. Then he and Captain Jesnon talked about boring stufff for a while, then he got back to his quarters and his kid was drawing and he was like "Well shizniz, now I have to kill her" and Jenson was like "OMG WTF" and he pointed teh gun and Jenson was like "hei, dont do dat" and the guy was like "ok, well cut out a piece of her brain instead" and everyone was like "OMG, no" and then the Prime Directive was like, "lol yeah, you have to" and then they did and the ambassador got to be a jerk some more, than he revealed he wasn't really a jerk and his daughter was a hologram and he was testing us to see if the curtains matched the dr- I mean if the Federation practiced the code of ethics it preached. So then we were like "lol, lets bee frends"

*waits for someone to chide him and post a better review*

Enterprise had stereotypical characters, cliché plots, bad actors (namely Jolene Blalock, Scott Bakula, and that British guy (I forget his name)), and bad action choreography, and there were a few too many explosions to excuse bad action choreography.

Anyway, did those guys on the planet below really walk up to you and tell you "We're jerks?"

Beats the hell out of Voyager in my book, which made no attempts whatsoever to cover its weaknesses. At least Enterprise made attempts to break from the so-called "formula" that TNG, VOY and some parts of DS9 so stringently adhered to. Sure it wasn't great, and I usually found myself tuning in to Farscape, SG: SG-1 or BSG as an alternative, but as a show that one watches to enjoy it beats the living **** out of Voyager.

If, as you say, Voyager had weaknesses (I agree there was the odd one) it was due to the writers losing their magic and being able to come up with new and unique ideas.

I suppose if they brung in fresh writing talent, Voyager would have nose dived and turned out to be a not so entertaining show, exactly what happened with Enterprise. Don't get me wrong, Enterprise had a couple of really good episodes, I just thought they could have done more with the TNG/DS9/VOY era.

This is of course my opinion.

Enterprise is a good show, imo. I think Enterprise has been the main Star Trek I have been watching from my DVD box sets.

Anyway, the thing that attracts me to Enterprise I think is the first time explorers aspect. This shows a side of the Federation that many would not like to think about, since it is fledgling and needs lots of kinks worked out.
