Elite Force RPG-X: Weapons/Tools

To add to the theme of RPG-X, the majority of the weapons from Elite Force were removed and replaced with more practical items that are common to operations aboard a Starfleet vessel. The majority of these items are functionally accurate to their TV counterparts and will activate when the player clicks their mouse.

PADD

Acronym for Personal Access Display Device, the PADD is a handheld computer interface device. It can be used to retrieve and store information as well as can have information input into it through a tactile interface. The PADD is standard equipment aboard most Federation starships and can be seen in use every day.

Tricorder

One of the most common tools utilized by members of Starfleet, the tricorder is a handheld, portable sensing device. The tricorder is capable of scanning any given object or environment and immediately outputting the results to its operator via a small screen. The tricorder is also capable of interfacing remotely with a variety of alien technologies as well as transferring information between other units. The tricorder is standard equipment for planetary away missions and is a staple to most daily Starfleet operations.

Coffee, Black

Coffee is a common Earth beverage produced from bean-like seeds of various types of plants. It is usually served hot, and usually has a deep brown hue, although this can be modified in many ways including the addition of cream and sugar.
Coffee is quite popular due its high concentration of the stimulant caffeine, and as such is often consumed during the morning. It is often the beverage of choice for many Starfleet officers, some citing that they wouldn't have survived certain encounters without it.

Phaser

An acroynm for PHASed Energy Rectification, the phaser is the standard firearm in Starfleet operations. The phaser is a particle weapon and is capable of firing a nadion stream at varying intensities. The result of this is that the beam can be configured to simply stun a target, kill them, or at mamximum power, completely disintegrate them.
Phasers are most commonly carried by Starfleet security officers, however they are also standard equipment on all planetary away missions.

Phaser Rifle

The type 3 phaser, or phaser rifle, is a rifle variation of the phaser. It features twice as many settings and is overall much more powerful than the standard phaser.
It is not considered as standard equipment and is only primarily used purely in response to hostile tactical situations.

TR-116

The TR-116 is an experimental projectile rifle developed by Starfleet Security designed for use in environments that would render a standard phaser useless, for example, within dampening fields or radiogenic atmospheres. However, from this, the lethality of the TR-116 has been enhanced with the use of transporter technology. A micro-transporter attached to the barrel, along with the use of an exographic targeting sensor allows the user to select targets and then transport the bullet directly next to them, effectively bypassing walls and other such cover.
With the advent of regenerative phasers, research on the TR-116 has been halted and only a select few people are actually in posession of one.

Grenade Launcher

The compound grenade launcher is a weapon that was developed by Crewman Perfecto Oviedo aboard the Federation starship Voyager. It fires 2 types of grenades: a small unit that bounces off walls, and an alternate larger one that adheres to walls.
The grenade launcher was created only to suit Voyager's unique situation and is not standard Starfleet weaponry.

Photon Burst

The Photon Burst is a weapon that was developed by Crewman Perfecto Oviedo aboard the Federation starship Voyager. It is essentially a handheld photo torpedo launcher, making it a very powerful and equally dangerous weapon. At user discretion, the torpedo is capable of locking on and tracking a target.
The Photon Burst was created only to suit Voyager's unique situation and is not standard Starfleet weaponry.

Alien Disruptor

With so many diverse alien cultures in the galaxy, so is there a diverse range of alien weaponry. The alien disruptor is such an example of this, with its true origin quite unknown. The alien disruptor has two firing modes. The primary mode fires a quick green pulse that leaves an electrical discharge on impact. The secondary fire mode is a steady particle beam.
The alien disruptor is quite a lethal weapon and any people equipped with one should be treated with caution.

Medical Kit

Medkits are small containers that hold standard medical equipment for use in away teams as well as medical emergencies. A standard medkit will usually contain a medical tricorder, a hypospray pre-loaded with several types of drugs, a dermal regenerator and a trauma kit.
Medkits are often placed in strategic locations around Federation starships, not to mention nearly all Starfleet doctors will carry one during away missions.

Hypospray

The hypospray is a medical instrument used to inject liquids into the body. It uses a non-invasive delivery mechanism in where a stream of tightly compressed air is used to transfer the liquid from from the device into the body, without puncturing the skin. The advantage to this is that the risk of infection is minimized and the hypospray can be used on multiple patients without the risk of disease spreading. It is often used to administer medication at the base of the neck, however the injection can be performed anywhere, even through clothing.
The hypospray is a very common medical tool and is one of the main required implements stored on standby in Starfleet medkits.

Dermal Regenerator

The dermal regenerator is a medical instrument used to assist in the healing of minor skin wounds, including cuts and burns. It works by emitting a very mild form of radiation which accelerates the natural healing process of the body's epidermal layer.
The dermal regenerator is a very common medical tool and is one of the main required implements stored on standby in Starfleet medkits.

Toolkit

Toolkits are containers that hold standard engineering tools used by Starfleet engineering technicians. They often contain a wide variety of tools including standard tricorders, hyperspanners, interphasic coil spanners, and ODN recouplers, although this is often at the discretion of the engineer who owns the toolkit in question.

Hyperspanner

The hyperspanner is a general all purpose tool often in use by Starfleet engineering technicians. They can be used to repair a variety of equipment and are considered to be standard engineering implements.
